[ V7 Videoseven Monitor Installation Guide ] This file describes normal monitor installation procedures for Windows 95/98 & 2000. Use these procedures when installing the monitors. *** Warning: Before you install your monitor, please verify the correct monitor model name. If this is not selected correctly, the host pc can not display the monitor as best refresh rate and display resolution. You can see the correct monitor name at front or back label of monitor. 1. Windows 98 1) USING INSTALLATION S/W > Insert Installation Disk into your Computer. > Run "install.exe". > Select your monitor model. > On "Insert Disk" Screen, Type full path name for the Installation Disk to install monitor driver. and Click "OK" Button. > Click "OK" Button for continuing install. > On "Window needed to be restarted Do you want to restart window right now?" Screen Click "OK" Button for completing installation. * Note : We recommend you to restart window right now for using the driver setting corretly. 2) MANUAL MONITOR INSTALLATION PROCEDURE > Click Start, then Settings, then Control Panel. > Start the "Display" applet program. > Select the "Settings" page and select the "Advanced Properties" button. > Select the "Monitor" button. > Select the "Change" button in the "Monitor Type" area. > Click the "Have Disk" button. > Specify the path to the INF file and press the key: Example 1: Insert the disk in the A: floppy drive, and enter A:\. Example 2: Type in the name of the directory where you copied the INF file, either on your local hard drive or on a network share. Example 3: If you're not sure exactly where the INF file is, choose the "Browse..." button to find it. > The "Select Device" dialog box will appear. Choose "Show all devices" Select the monitor that corresponds to the one you connected to your computer and click OK. > Windows 98 will copy the INF file and the ICM Profile to the proper directory on your system. > Continue choosing "Close" button and "O.K" button until you close the Display Properties dialog box. Choose "Show all devices" Select the monitor that corresponds to the one you connected to your computer and click OK. > Continue choosing "Close" button until you close the Display Properties dialog box. * Note : Reboot the system to use the new driver. _________________________________________________________________________________________ 3.Windows2000 1)Automatic Install Procedure > Insert Installation Disk into your Computer. > Run "install.exe". > Select your monitor model. > Press the "OK" button. > If you meet the "Do you want to continue the installtion?", press the "Yes" button. > If you meet the "Monitor is installed in your system successfully", Press the "Yes" button. > If you meet the "Window needed to be restarted. Do you want to restart window now?", Press the "Yes" button. * Note : We recommend you to restart window for using the driver settings corretly. 2)Manual Install Procedure > Click Start, then Settings, then Control Panel. > Start the "Display" applet program. > Select the "Settings" page and select the "Advanced Properties" button. > Select the "Monitor" page. > Press the "Properties" button. > Select the "Driver" page. > Press the "Update Driver..." button. > Press the "Next" button. > Select the "Display a list of the known drivers for this device so that I can choose a specific driver" and press the "Next" button. > Press the "Have Disk..." button. > Specify the path to the INF file and press the "OK" button Example 1: Insert the disk in the A: floppy drive, and enter A:\. Example 2: Type in the name of the directory where you copied the INF file, either on your local hard drive or on a network share. Example 3: If you're not sure exactly where the INF file is, choose the "Browse..." button to find it. > Select the monitor model that corresponds to the one you connected to your computer and press "Next" button. > Press the "Next" button. > Press the "Yes" button. > Windows2000 will copy the INF file and the ICM Profile to the proper directory on your system. > Press the "Finish" button. > Continue choosing "Close" button and "OK" button until you close the Display Properties dialog box.
